Services/Facilities provided by Post Offices:
- UPC: UPC stands for Under Postal Certificate. It refers to that postal certificate which is issued by the post office as an evidence of posting the letter.
- Registered Post: It refers to the post facility under which it is ensured that the mail is definitely delivered to the addressee otherwise it should be returned to the sender.
- Speed Post: It refers to the type of post facility under which it is ensured that the mail reaches the addressee at the earliest.
- Parcel: It refers to the type of post facility under which articles can be sent across the country as well as outside the country.
Courier
Courier is a mail service provided by private operators in which they collect letters and parcels from the doorstep of senders and delivers them at the place of the addressee.
Financial Services provided by Post Offices
Apart from the above facilites, post offices also provides financial services by accepting deposits from the customers. A customer can open any of the following accounts:
